Cantal has a wide choice of great places to stay.  Comfortable family hotels, friendly chambres d’hôtes, idyllic countryside gites and well-appointed campsites. 

And if you fancy the idea of something a little different, there are some that offer you the chance to share in the cultural history of this spectacular region. 

For example, “Bienvenue à la ferme” is a nationwide (such as “Gîtes de France”, “Clévacances” et “Fleurs de Soleil”) in which working farms open their doors to welcome visitors to stay and to learn about life and work of a Cantal farming family.  Look out for the yellow flower emblem.  Some of these farms have small campsites, while others operate like chambres d’hôtes and some have farm auberge restaurants.
